The Human Development Foundation of Nigeria (HDFN) is a charitable non-profit and non-religious organisation founded in 1984. Since the Foundation come into being, it has embarked on various projects at different levels of the community. Due to the concern the Foundation has for the less privileged members of the society particularly those Children in Especially Difficult Circumstances (CEDC), a school was set up to cater for such children. At the moment has graduated more than twenty (20) sets of primary six pupils.

Overtime, the Foundation has been sustained with the moral and financial support of its Trustees, Patrons, Members, Donors Agencies, Private Individuals, Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Philanthropists and Kaduna State Government.

HDFN also successfully collaborated with International Labour Organisation (ILO) on the elimination of Child Labour. The programme was instituted by ILO to support programmes and activities with were aimed at progressively combating the worst forms of child labour e.g. withdrawal and rehabilitation of more than 200 Child Scavengers, more than 300 female Street Hawkers and 550 Child Domestic Workers within Kaduna Metropolis.
